Joy W. Goldman, RN, MS, PCC
Joy Goldman is an accomplished professional in leadership coaching, learning and organizational effectiveness. With a 30-year career in healthcare, Joy’s expertise and experience has included direct clinical care, nursing administration, training and development and leadership and organizational effectiveness.
Joy’s work has included executive coaching to support culture change, executive onboarding and assimilation, and improvement in leadership and team effectiveness. Joy’s familiarity with various assessment tools (MBTI, DiSC, Gallup’s Strengthsfinder) and certification in the Strength Deployment Inventory, Portrait of Personal Strengths, Leadership Circle Profile 360, and the Activity Vector Analysis Assessment has enabled her to identify leadership strengths, and critical competency gaps to support targeted development efforts. She has facilitated process improvement and rapid cycle change teams, and has played a key role in the redesign of performance management and talent review/ succession-planning systems to support strategic results.
Joy has a Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University in Strategic Human Resources and Organizational Development and has a certificate from Georgetown University in Leadership Coaching. Joy has her Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF). She is a credentialed facilitator with Achieve Global and the Advantage Performance Group and is a Six Sigma Green Belt.
Joy lives in the Baltimore area, and has been married for 21 years to a wonderful man who keeps her fit and healthy (he’s a personal fitness and nutrition consultant); she has two wild and wonderful cats: Hunk and Dory (“Hunk y Dory….”) and when she’s not working, Joy can be found cycling, hiking, or travelling with her camera in hand, to fuel her passion for photography and art (www.canvasjoy.com).
